I recently graduated from university in Singapore and am taking time to travel as and when I can. The last time I couchsurfed was when I was on an exchange programme in Europe in 2015, but now I'm back again :) Having studied journalism in university, I love talking to people from all walks of life and hearing their stories and life experiences. I am also very artsy, am a huge film buff and work as a freelance film journalist on the side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting to know new people and gaining an authentic local insight into the countries I am visiting. I am adventurous and inquisitive by nature, I enjoy companionship, heartfelt conversations, sharing meaningful experiences and learning about new things from a side of a world I am unfamiliar with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Woke up at 3am and travelled up the mountains in a bus to catch the breathtaking sunrise atop He Huan Shan in Taiwan, Cing Jing. It was freezing cold but it was so beautiful.
Attended the full moon party at the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand, which had amazing people and an amazing atmosphere

Languages — I am fluent in English and Chinese (conversational, my English is much better). If you would like to learn any phrases of languages that I can help with, I would love to do so!

Singapore — If you would like to know anything about our culture, food, or lingo (Singlish), I would love to share them with you.

Film, arts, anything — I am a huge film buff and I minored in film studies at university. I can share with you my knowledge on cinema (especially Asian cinema!) and the film industry, as I've attended a number of international film festivals overseas and written reviews for online film websites.

I can share with you anything you need to know about Asia, especially Singapore because it's a small country that not many people have been to :) I'm outgoing, friendly and usually up for anything spontaneous!
