ABOUT ME
Exploring Austin by bike with CSers is one of my favorite activities and specialties. ******** If you are seriously interested in staying with me, please, read 'My Home' section or you will get a 'maybe' at best! I want to make sure this is a positive experience for us both! ******** Also, I live about 10 miles (16km) South of the Austin city center!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to experience the rapture of being alive. Things that will get me into the present moment and out of my personal, heady dream world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have extra bikes, 2 kayaks and a motorcycle to take guests with me out on adventures. I am doing what I can to help give back and build the CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had several traditional Couch Surfing experiences now and lots of other social interactions and I have really enjoyed it.

I love to bicycle and all warm-water sports and sometimes skipper yachts up to 50'. See Vagabond Sailing for CS on sailboats! Yoga, leading CSers on local adventures, etc. I am involved in several organizations and many new age topics. See www.palmertx.net/austin/ for what I think is great to do in Austin.

I am not into bars, smoking, liquor, loud music, drugs, blowing-off your appointments or religious orthodoxy. If you definitely identify with more than 2 of these items, then we will probably not going to connect too well. See 'My Home' details for more details on how to enjoy your stay with me.

For about the last 30 years, I have listened to non-fiction audio books and have rarely watched T.V. My music tastes are very traditional and always have been: orchestral movie scores, ethnic folk, ultra-lounge, new age, etc.

My favorite thing to offer hosts is dinner out and good conversation. I am known for great bike tours of Austin. I am interested and educated in many different subjects. Depending on your background there is usually something unique, valuable and/or interesting, that I can offer you as a new experience. If you are seriously short on cash and/or just looking for a free bed, I am not be the right host for you.
