I'm a Brazilian - but above all Latin American - guy who has been trying to get to know as much as possible about the world and its people, about different ways of living and contributing to different realities. I really don't know for certain many things about myself, but I'm pretty sure that I love to move, to explore and to travel.

I'm very easy-going and adaptable. Very patient, sometimes talkative but often quiet, and contemplative. I just love to get lost inside my head and to let my eyes absorb new landscapes and people, to admire everyday life throughout the world, relate the things I see in some place with others I have seen in other places, in movies, read in books.

En ese algo cortito tiempo que he vivido, vengo buscando conocer lo máximo que pueda de el mundo y su gente, de distintas maneras de vivir y de aportar algo a las distintas realidades. Tengo una dificultad casi patológica en determinar cosas sobre quién soy o qué quiero de mi vida, y en esa metamorfosis ambulante una de las pocas cosas que sé que me gustan es moverme, viajar y explorar. Las raíces, sin embargo, son bastante importantes en mi vida. Nunca dejo de pensar, estando lejos, en mi lugar de origen, mi gente y mi propia realidad.

Soy un tipo muy tranquilo, bastante adaptable. Es difícil que algo me cause estrés muy en serio, lo que de verdad ayuda mucho estando lejos de casa. Soy paciente creo, y bastante contemplativo. Es común que mi cabeza vuele para cualquier lado en cualquier situación, por ejemplo. Eso porque me gusta admirar, no sé, las escenas cotidianas y paisajes cualesquiera, relacionarlos con otras cosas que ya vi y con lo qué siento en cada momento, dejarme a veces emocionarme con la belleza que hay en todo eso. En el actual momento, viajando, estoy tratando de buscar alguna manera de registrar eso, escribiendo, grabando cosas, buscando referencias que me ayuden a conectar tales ideas y sentimientos con su contexto más general.

After traveling a lot staying in hostels, and feeling frequently that I only had half of what places could offer me, I found in Couchsurfing the ideal tool to escape the touristic bubble to get to know places more deeply, through its local people. To give human faces to my travel memories, rather than just the artificial images sold in postcards.

Después de mucho viajar quedando en hostels, y ser frecuente sentir que había tenido una experiencia incompleta de viaje, lejos de la realidad local y las idiosincrasias verdaderas de cada ciudad, descubrí en el Couchsurfing la herramienta ideal para escapar de la burbuja turística y comercial para conocer los lugares a través de su gente. Poner rostros humanos en mis recuerdos de viaje, mucho más que las imágenes artificiales que nos venden en postales.

I'm mainly interested about alternative forms of life and society. I love to meet people who are fulfilled in an authentic way, who found their path. To get to know people and its idiosincracies, their own way of turning life into something meaningful, intense and pleasant.

More concretely, I love art and culture in general, as long as it is not in a pure commodified form. I'm very fond too of outdoor activities, such as swimming, trekking, surfing, etc.

Me interesan mucho formas alternativas de vida y de comunidad, maneras de evitar caer en la bruta realidad que nos enajena y nos aleja de nuestros verdaderos intereses. Me encanta conocer gente realizada en un sentido auténtico, que encontró su camino, o lugares dónde sean válidas otras lógicas, distintas a la de acumular bienes materiales al largo de la vida y la competición inhumana. Conocer también, las actividades que cada gente tiene, sus maneras propias de hacer la vida una experiencia plena y agradable.
