Well, gosh... everything I'd write here puts me in a box, and I'm trying to expand beyond the boxes I've been in for awhile! But it helps you, so... I love to travel and meet new people, I'm a proud mom with two newly-minted adult kids, I've taught leadership at university, and German in high schools (public, and private boarding school!); I am a life coach (but do not coach without permission - that's a no-no!) and am all about personal development and empowerment! I've got two cats, one black and one white.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled enough to know that connecting with local people offers so much more insight and opportunities for building genuine understanding and community than staying in a hotel - I prefer to be a traveler, not a tourist. And I appreciate reciprocity, and the sharing economy. It works!
