Hello! I have two wonderful daughters who are off to college now. I worked as a counselor for years and am currently semi-retired. My husband and I live and work at a private nonprofit as mentors helping single parents and their children. I am outgoing and friendly. I enjoy people, music, movies, and good food! I love to cook and spend time with my family and friends.

My daughters are the experienced couch surfers and world travelers. They encouraged me to try it on a trip they are sending me on for my birthday. I do enjoy traveling and meeting people, but we lack the funds for expensive accommodations. Hopefully becoming a couch surfer will allow me to travel more.

I've invested my time and energy over the years in trying to make a difference in the lives of others. Helping children and people who have experienced loss find hope, healing, and their own voice has probably been the most amazing thing I have ever done.

Spending time to listen, share, and play with others, especially children, can be one of the most rewarding things to do in life! Earning the love and trust of a child (and his/her parent!) is one of the most precious experiences I know!
