ABOUT ME

We are a silly couple from the US. We met in Huntington Beach, CA and decided to travel to Oz on a working holiday visa. We're here for a year or as long as our funds will take us. My name is Pamela and my partner's name is Austin. We love meeting people and get along with almost anyone. Austin is a mountain man with a huge red beard and i'm a city girl who loves fashion and dressing up. We share the common interest of traveling so that makes us compatible and happy to a certain extent. Haha..We've met nice, crazy, and weird people along our travels. We're traveling down the east coast of Oz right now and making our way back down to Sydney.

PHILOSOPHY

I personally live by the motto "Don't worry, be happy!" I like to think there is always a brighter side of things. Even when things look bad, it could always be worse.

Austin says, "Do unto others as you would have them do to you?!" Umm...yeah...something like that. Whatever the quote is. He's the type of guy that basically treats u the way u treat him.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would like to help Aussies understand that not all Americans are what we have a reputation to be. We're not all ignorant, loud, obnoxious and stupid. Some of us actually do have half a brain and it would be nice to meet the local people of Australia! If our experiences are amazing, many people will know about CS since we talk to loads of people and meet people everywhere we go. We hope for it to be a positive experience where both parties are happy to be in each other's company.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed before but only on my friend's couches.

I have had people sleep on my couch while they were traveling. They were usually friends who i already knew or people who were friends of friends.

Intereses

We are interested in funny people, people who know fun card games, cooking, diving, fishing, sharks, clothes, sports, shoes, hiking, etc.

Lily Allen, Rihanna, Rage Against the Machine, Lady GaGA, Nine Inch Nails, pretty much all types of music. I love Drum and Bass and house music too!

Terminator Salvation was a great movie and we really enjoyed the new Star Trek as well.

I've been reading some sappy romantic novels lately and Austin likes war books or sci fi stuff.

I've done lots of things and seen lots of things, but i don't think i've gotten to the point where i could say that it was the most amazing thing.

Austin got to dive the Great Barrier Reef and backpack all over the northwest of the US and Alaska.

I am Chinese and i have a lot of knowledge about the culture and traditions. I also know how to cook some chinese food. Not a lot of it, but some!

Austin was a marine in the US. He has stories that some are very interested to hear about.
