关于我
CURRENT MISSION
Time to move out of my comfort zone and travel....
ABOUT ME
Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Provo & Salt Lake City, then Spokane, Wa. by Kindergarten. Then, 7 yrs. in Mesa, Az, moving 6 times, back to Provo, then Orem, Ut. Married at almost...18, moving back to Mesa, AZ., then to Utah. Filed for divorce while pregnant with my 7th child, and moved to SLC, then HoodRiver, Or. I owned my home in Scappoose for 21 yrs. sold it, and moved to Portland en route to Ashland, Or. I'm a cancer survivor (2004), and have done hours of research, wanting to help others. I've outlived my last oncologist. My motto is: I'll be learning till I hit the urn.
It's time for me to travel and get out of my comfort zone. Working from home in real estate has been isolating. I'm ready to re-engage in my social work practice, via online, so I can work anywhere in the world. I specialize in sexual abuse healing, elder care, support groups, women's groups and life transitions.
I'm working on a book, and want to publish my poetry someday.
I'm a gourmet cook, love to bake and share, trade informal massage and healing touch, love gardening, etc.
I'd like to learn a new language and guitar. I love to sing.
I'm a non-smoker, non drinker, active, spiritual but not affiliated w/ any formal religion, independent thinker, known for my kindness, honesty and hospitality, and don't use any drugs or medications.
I keep a clean and sober home, and have no pets except for feeding wild birds.
PHILOSOPHY
I like Thomas Paine's philosophy:
The world is my country, and to do good is my religion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started by wanting to check out Ashland as a possible place to settle for a while. Well, now I'm here in Medford, Oregon!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I 'm small, so I can curl up on a couch anywhere and sleep. I've been to Mexico City, Cordoba, Ixtapa, and Zihuatanejo, traveled from Utah to Arizona and California, from Utah to Oregon, and from Oregon to Texas. I love the look and feel of Moab, Utah, love the Northwest, Seattle w/ their Pike's Market, etc., but want to explore more of the country and the world.
Couch surfing for me qhas been limited to family and friends, w/ the rest motel/hotels. Surfing w/ complete strangers will be new... As for hosting, I've rented rooms, and enjoy meeting new people.
兴趣
Gardening, cooking, writing/poetry, biking, motorcycling, hiking, reading, meeting new people, educating and learning about health and nutrition, learning a new language and how to play the guitar, remodeling. I'm a hard worker. I love to dance, love music, etc.

教,学,和分享
I'll have to contribute after experiencing this new activity...
My first CL rideshare experience was coupled with couchsurfing. It was great that I stayed with a Chocolatier who kept his house cool because of the meltable products he works with. The first thing I learned was to write down the phone number along with the address in my planner, because I arrived later than planned, and needed to call my host. I didn' t want to be a burden right off the bat, with less than optimal communication. My host had dinner ready for us after I arrived, and was very hospitable. I learned there is much to learn. I appreciated his willingness to fill me in on his city, and he expanded my world with our conversation...
