About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn how to samba

ABOUT ME

I like to think I am a very decent person and fun to be with but I'd rather let other people be the judge of that.

PHILOSOPHY

To put people before things and life before work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I organize and take part in CS events. I meet people for coffee or drinks. My couch is not available yet but it will be soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted by couchsurfing members in different locations and always had a really good experience. I hope one day to be able to give something back by hosting people at my place in London.

Interests

First and foremost I love travelling. I know it's kind of obvious for a couchurfers but in my case I love it so much that I decided to make it my life. So my plan is: work for a bit, get some money and then leave for some interesting destination.
I recently travelled through South America for six months (plus three and a half months living and working in Sao Paulo, Brazil) and it was the best experience of my life. I saw amazing places, met really cool people, and most importantly I learned a lot about myself.
I'm not much of a sport person but I love hiking and being outdoors.
I have a fixation for languages and want to speak as many as possible. I speak Italian, English and Spanish fluently and I can get by in Portuguese. But that needs improving so if anyone is interested in helping me out...
Finally, I love food and I am interested in trying all the different cuisines from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up with rock music which remains my favourite to date. Just to mention a few groups: Radiohead, Smahsing Pumpkins, Muse, Pixies etc.
Having been to Brazil for several months I also learned to appreciate samba, bossa nova, and other Brazilian rythms (but not forró - sorry.)
Lately I became very intersted in African music, especially from Mali, which gave birth to amazing artists such as Tinariwen and Amadou et Mariam. I also like ska, raggae, funk, flamenco, Balkan music and much more.
Oh, and in case you are Italian I adore Fabrizio De André.

I love cinema but aside from some notable exceptions I find Holywood films very boring and predictable. I am more into independent stuff and generally like a film with a good script. I don't have a favourite genre nor a favourite film, it really depends on the mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Machu Picchu (Peru)
Quebrada de las Conchas and Quebrada de Humauacha (Northern Argentina)
Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia)
Ilha Grande (Brazil)
Iguazu Falls (Brazil - Argentina)
Hampi (India)
Fitz Roy, El Chalten (Argentina)
Chapada Diamantina (Brazil)
