ABOUT ME

I am traveling around California being a food activist. I am organizing the grassroots movement to get an initiative to require mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods. I am happy to say that we are flying! Folks all over the state are joining us in co-creating the future of food WE WANT!

I work about 7 days a week from about 8am until late at night. I am on fire to get this done. I am volunteering my time as this is vital to get done...I came to the conclusion that "if not me, then, who will do this?" No one else is doing it, so I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel from town to town, being a NonGMO Gypsy, talking with folks at Seed Meetings to plant the fire of food activism wherever I go. It's working!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived with Donna Garrison for awhile. She has lots of couchsurfers come through...all wonderful folks, all really interesting.

Interests

Anything Art. Churches, cemetaries. The Big Questions of Life, Spirituality, Sexuality and how they impact the psyche. Great food and cooking it. Walking. Beauty. People's stories. Word games. Flowers. My friends and family present and future (cuz you just never know who will become family).

I like all genres of movies (action, romance, comedy, kids, political, thoughtful drama, foreign, art, mystery) except really gory horror and really stupid slapstick.

Books:

Anythings by Hermann Hesse, Tom Robbins. The Potato Queen Diary books. I like mysteries, political intrigue, memoirs and biographies, "texts or manuals" (as I call them), science, spirituality. I am newly back into novels and have as a goal to read the NY Times best sellers "just because."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been blessed with helping about 200 people be born. Can't top that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been a student of spirituality and inner growth my whole life. I was a midwife but it's been a long time. I had an herb and flower business so know about some plants. I have a massage certificate. I used to be a Tantra Coach. I can cook and have studied both nutrition and holistic care my whole life. My kids think I was a good parent.

I want to learn Spanish and French.

I am currently teaching and learning how to be a food activist.
