About Me

A collaborative audiovisual album playing my songs with musicians around the world... 1st track - game for two in Indonesia, uk and USA

I;m a mixed up person.
I was born in the UK, went to school in Munich, Germany. I went to uni in the UK and Indonesia. I went back to Germany to work, then moved back to Indonesia. Moved back to London in April 2011.
I am a freelance translator/interpreter.
I am a musician and song writer and perform/curate living room concerts, organise gigs/tours, make indie shorts/music videos, have my own radio show and open mic night.
I am a mother to two beautiful children.
I join an African drumming class with my son once a week.
I love to laugh, sing, travel..
I play the guitar ...
I write songs- this is what I sound
I organise and perform at living room concerts.
I'm a teacher, I'm a learner.
I work from home as a translator:)
Last year I made a documentary of a series of living room concerts in UK, then to Munich via Amsterdam, Nancy and Basel, travelling with 3 friends for 2,500 km across Europe in 7 days.
1st of April: Amsterdam,
3rd of April: Nancy (FR),
5th of April: Basel (Switzerland),
6th of April: Munich

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." Marianne Williamson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love hosting- it's a wonderful experience when the other person embraces the spirit of sharing conversations, a house, their experience, cooking together, making food together.
I have met lots of really interesting people through CS, and made some good friends too.
I like to meet other csers, especially other families and musicians.

I had one member of hospitality club stay. In one short day, they inspired me to want to do more hosting and become a guest myself. Why?
Because if we host, we can see our own living area with new eyes.
Since that time, we have hosted and been hosted. Both experiences are unique and wonderful. I have met many wonderful, good, kind people. As one CS member said at a meeting: "It restores my trust in humanity" Indeed it has.
CS saved my life when I got stuck in Malaysia with very little cash- since then I've been giving back

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that everything happens for a reason.
Change your life if you are not satisfied. It might take a long time- thousands of steps- but you CAN get there.

I can teach you some songs, or simple guitar chords. I can teach you German or Indonesian or English. I can show you how to cook rendang (Indonesian beef stew) or soto medan and sambal or just great chicken nuggets or a mean veggy stir fry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to entertain by organising a living room concert and Indonesian food - or just participate in a jam.
I am also happy to teach English, help at home etc- I couchsurf to learn :)
