I am an activist of environment movement called Chipko or hug the trees movement, working to conserve forests in south India.

We live and work on organic farm growing rice, fruits and spice, living on the edge of tropical forests with Shyamala, my wife and two kids. We practice simple living, with only basic amenities on the farm.

Interested in understanding cultures, religion, Vipassana meditation, Yoga
Literature and diversity of languages is another hobby for me.

I am also free lance journalist writing in three languages, English, Kannada and Hindi.
