About Me
Hello,
Hello, my name is Pankaj Pathak, and I am a freelance teacher. I run an agency called Foucs Home Tutor. I absolutely love to travel, and I’m eager to explore new cultures.
Staying fit is one of my biggest hobbies; I enjoy regular exercise, running, and playing table tennis. I have traveled extensively across India, since it is such a vast country with a highly diverse culture.
Now, I am on a journey to explore the world. Whenever I get the chance, I try to discover a new country, so I can learn from every place I visit.
I have many stories to share from my journeys, and I also love cooking. I can prepare and serve you authentic Indian dishes, so you can taste the rich flavors of my culture firsthand.
Moreover, I am married, and my partner often travels with me. Together, we love exploring new places, sharing cultures, and creating memories along the way.
I also love pets—they are a big part of my life, especially dogs and cats. If I stay with you, I can share my culture in a meaningful way, as I deeply respect and love learning about local traditions.
I am a humble, responsible, and open-minded traveler, and I look forward to connecting with you, sharing my stories, and introducing you to the tastes and experiences of India.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because it gives me the chance to connect with locals and experience a place from the inside. Staying with locals lets me understand their traditions, culture, and daily life in a way that no hotel or tour ever could. It allows me to make real connections, share stories, and build friendships across cultures. That’s why I choose Couchsurfing—it’s not just about a place to stay; it’s about truly experiencing the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music spans a variety of genres—I enjoy everything from Indian classical to contemporary pop and world music.
As for books, some of my favorites include 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho, 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen, and 'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari.
In terms of movies, I love classic Indian films like 'Sholay' and 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,' as well as global hits like 'The Shawshank Redemption,' 'Parasite,' and 'Inception.' These all inspire me, and they help me see the world from different perspectives.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I practiced meditation daily for about a year, 30 minutes each day. This consistent practice gave me mental peace, improved focus, and a deep sense of inner balance.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m a teacher with a strong background in math and science, and I also excel in English. I love sharing knowledge and making complex concepts easy to understand. At the same time, I’m always excited to learn new things—whether it’s about different cultures, new skills like cooking or meditation, or unique perspectives on life. I’m passionate about teaching, but also about growing and sharing experiences together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to build a genuine connection with my host, and I’m happy to offer whatever I can in return. Besides teaching—especially in math, science, and English
I’m also good at cooking, and I can prepare authentic Indian cuisine for you. If you’d like, I can also assist with any tasks—whether it’s household help or a project you’re working on. I always respect the home and culture you share, and I would be truly happy if you invited me to stay, so we can learn, share, and build a meaningful friendship together.
