I lived in chilly but spectacularly beautiful Scotland for years, relocated back to warm and sunny Greece and currently living in the Netherlands. I love trying new and strange foods and I genuinely enjoy learning about different customs around the world. I firmly believe that there are no boring and ugly places, just untrained sets of eyes.

We started from New York going south to Miami, then Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Chile. Following the summer going south we passed by Australia and then Indonesia.

And I then finished travelling by myself in Southeast Asia.

What do you mean why? Travelling AND meeting awesome people along the way? You never feel bored and you only gain from the experience. Local knowledge and friendly people is what makes travelling worth doing. It's not just cheap tourism but a true life enrichment.

Movies: Cloud Atlas, Arrival, most Sci-fi TV series (yes even the low quality ones, within reason of course), and I can appreciate a good horror movie.

Music: Scottish and Irish folk music, Electro Swing, EDM, Metal, Greek entechna, Rebetiko, Indie rock, Post-rock and many many more... I just love music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Taking the courage to get out of my comfort zone and travel around the world with a backpack and a raised thumb for more than 8 months.
- I interviewed and lived among Scottish Gaelic-speaking crofters on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland researching their sense of place
