ABOUT ME

I'm Joao, born in Natal, but since I remember I live in Curitiba. Been in Canada for a while and now in France.

I study environmental engineering, play guitar and bass, love music and listen to it in every possible moment.

I think its a bit waste of time to describe myself cause what matters after all in this case is not what I think of myself but what someone will think about me. However, leaving this spot completely empty could possibly cause misleading thoughts like I am a total stranger to myself. Which is only partially true?

Other than that, I'm a pretty calm guy, very easy to get along with and one of my passions is to make people laugh! Meeting new people and discovering new cultures are the things that I most enjoy, thus the reason I'm on couchsurfing!

PHILOSOPHY

I just feel that people shouldn't be such jerks too each other as often as they are. So I try to be nice towards other people as much as it's possible to.

Being a buddhist, I also believe in what we call the 'path of the middle' which basically means that one must have a balance in everything one does. There's no problem with indulging yourself with some so-called bad things for us, as long as you don't do it excessively.

And obviously karma, f you do good things in life, good things will happen to you! I prefer this positive approach rather than the negative, even though I believe in both.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Didn't participate that much on the couch surfing community, what I've done until now was meeting people traveling to Curitiba and showing them around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still haven't had any surfing experience yet, apart from meeting travelers and just showing them around! But I'll soon start to receive surfers and also surf!

I read a book once about this guy who came all the way from somewhere in the middle of Canada to Porto Alegre, Brazil only hitchhiking.
