ABOUT ME

Hello curious reader !

As you might know my name is Paradis and I am 27yo. My parents are Cambodian and I was born and raised in France.

I think I am funny, not to serious about myself, reliable and helpful. But you will have to ask my friends for that:)

I am currently travelling throught Asia from January to June 2013 with a friend (Thierry Gabin) I met at my gradeschool.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that life is hard enough on people, so we should not be hard between us !

But in one word it would be RESPECT. Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always told myself that i would look for a couch only once I could host but ducks don't always come in a row !

Music : mostly Pop Rock but all kind of song.
Books : To be honest I am not a big reader :). Last books were Ender's Game from Orson Scott Card and Flower for Algernon from Daniel Keyes

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2 things come to my mind and both when I was a student but this one stroke me the most :

I was taking the train back to my home and there were a lot of space in it. In the waggon I hoped-on, there was a homeless guy who tried to speak with other. Other passengers changed waggon but i just stayed next to him. He was speaking in English and asked me where I was from (Cambodia). And then he talked about the Khmer genocid and the Red Khmer. Then he asked this question (which I still don't have the answer)..."if you had only 1 option, would you forgive the people who did that or would you forget what happened?"....

He then told me he had to get down at the station and at the end of the conversation said in a Perfect accenless French "Thank you for this nice conversation. You are a good person and the best is to come in your life, good bye".
