About Me

Being thrown headfirst into this thing called life is tough, especially since nobody bothered to include a manual. Like most people — maybe even a bit more than most — I spend a lot of time wondering about the whys and hows. So far I’ve found more questions than answers, which probably explains why I keep exploring new things and trying to stay open-minded.

That all sounds very serious, but honestly, I’m usually not. In fact, I’d describe myself as not serious at all. Serious people can be great fun… but let’s be honest, they usually aren’t. Seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. I’ve also moved countries quite a lot over the last 10 years, and Couchsurfing has often been a real lifeline when I’m new in town, or simply traveling.

I’ve been on the platform since the early days and have always appreciated its non-transactional spirit. I genuinely believe in staying with and hosting people for the sake of connecting to others rather than for profit (Airbnb). Goes around, comes around.

Interests

I’m a pretty active person. I regularly go to the gym, do yoga, swim, and get out for hikes or bike rides on the weekends. Being away from a screen and spending time in nature is what recharges my batteries.

Outside of that, I enjoy hanging out with friends, chatting over coffee, or grabbing a few beers. I’m also trying to learn Italian (my girlfriend is Italian), improve my photo-editing skills, and I’d love to write at least one novel. - currently working on it.
