About Me

Your instincts always knew who you needed to see, where you needed to go, and how you needed to act.

Hey, I’m Büşbüş 🍋— architect by degree, artist by soul, traveler by nature.
I’ve lived in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania and Portugal, collecting cultures, stories and meaningful human connections along the way. Half Italian at heart - living in Italy at 19 shaped who I am more than I ever expected.
I work in a cultural center as a Yoga & Drawing Teacher, I sing, paint, tell stories on my podcast “Shine Out of Nowhere”, and I’m always curious about people and their journeys.
I love deep conversations, spontaneous walks, music, creativity, and sharing simple joys.
If you enjoy meaningful exchanges, art, good energy and a little magic in everyday life , I have always new stories to share and a big smile to give ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Rock / alternative / indie / acoustic / world music, powerful voices and live energy.
I love listening to and singing songs in many different languages — but I mostly sing in Italian.
When I sing, I especially enjoy acoustic rock and indie vibes.
Lately, I’ve been a huge fan of Mumford & Sons.
Favorite Song: Sevdan Bir Ateş – Düş Sokağı Sakinleri - I don’t listen to it too often — just to keep it precious :D

Movies:
Fantasy & sci-fi, mind-bending stories, emotional feel-good films.
Favorites: Big Fish , Leap Year ( it’s totally cliché, but it’s my safe-place happiness button :) )
Bonus Series : Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Books:
Fantasy & sci-fi, mythology, spiritual and inner journey books — stories that expand the mind.
Favorite: My Dream Country Atlantis

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Make people believe in magic — through music, stories and connection.

Teach, Learn, Share

My first Couchsurfing experience was 9 years ago, staying with a host in France and it completely changed how I see traveling and people. For me, the real beauty of this community is exchanging inspiration, growing together and turning simple moments into meaningful memories.
I love sharing what I know — yoga basics, breathing and mindfulness practices, drawing and creative expression, singing together (especially acoustic rock & indie), storytelling, good conversations and positive energy.
I’m always curious to learn from others: local culture and hidden spots, new music and languages, personal life stories, different perspectives, simple daily rituals and delicious home recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I stay as a guest, I love being helpful and supportive in everyday life — cooking, preparing the table, helping around the house, and sharing meals together. I enjoy cooking from the recipes I know and introducing cultural flavors, music and even a little dance sometimes.
I also love sharing my voice and stories. My intention is always to make hosts feel like a close friend is visiting their home, not just a guest passing by :)
