Overview
About Me
I am a dancer aspiring to change the world through embodiment and movement.
Originally I am from Alabama. I grew up in a suburb that was next to the forest that inspired me to live more with nature rather than against nature. This crafted a philosophy that has led me to study environment, innovation, dance, art, chemistry and biology. I hope that through radically challenging myself to be authentic, I can move to create a world that is similarly authentic and honest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As of right now, I am organizing a project in Lisboa, Portugal. Having this connection with people who are willing to host me is not only a great way to meet wonderful people, but it also provides a place to relax after dancing.
I am student studying biochemistry, environment, innovation, and dance. I am grateful for the kindness of human beings, and I believe that couch-surfing is a way of breaking the isolation we find ourselves in at times. Building bridges with each is a way to bring humanity back to humans.
Interests
Tai Chi, kickboxing, yoga, jiu jitsu, climbing trees, star gazing, ice skating, so many to write down.
To sum it up easier, as a dancer I enjoy anything that requires movement. There is a dance to cooking food, walking through the park, climbing rocks or trees. Anything! Even on a atomic level there is a dance happening. My professor for chemistry pointed out so simply that chemical compounds "flip" in order to provide a new connector zone for a different chemical all together. It is an atomic dance that is occurring, similar to the cosmic dance of the solar system, galaxies, and life! I am truly invested in the health of humanity and the world, and I wish to bring this into my everyday life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one? Every day seems to provide something that blows my mind. Even looking out the window right now, I am fascinated by the concept of my own presence. How I am related to the brilliant evergreen tree that is exchanging oxygen for my carbon dioxide. The breath I breathe is a constant reminder of the amazement that is life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be honored to teach anything I know about herbal medicine, dance, philosophy, science, and anything that may come to mind.
In a similar vein I am eager to learn about the world through individual eyes. How might another see the world that is different from my own vision? There is a sacredness to discourses that are similar and different from our own. It gives shape to society.
