Overview
About Me
As a traveller myself (mostly on small budget) I know how important it is to
find friendly cs hosts and I wanna give back a little bit but I also really enjoy
having nice folks around me @home. As I am mostly very busy with work I
will be not in the situation to show you around or guide you through the city -
This you have to explore yourself mostly but if I have one of my less free days
I am happy to have dinner with you or some wine, beers or even water or tee, however, whatever!
I am working in the music bizz since over 25 years now.
Mostly taking care of artists/musicians. So it is already my job meeting folks from all over the world and taking care of them and I still love it!
I also work as a driver for film and television productions in the summer time.
Don´t know what to do in cologne?:
- have a beer and watch a show @http://www.gebaeude9.de// , where I work. (best 'bigger' music live club in town)
- check out http://www.stadtrevue.de/ for parties/concerts/ cultural stuff
- "Sonic Ballroom", coolest real punkrock club/bar with nearly a concert each night @https://www.sonic-ballroom.de/
- "Bumann & Sohn" best booking for indie-rock live shows and nice beer-garden @https://www.bumannundsohn.de/
- "Metronom", most beautiful jazz-bar in town , http://www.yelp.de/biz/metronom-koeln
- "King Georg" for 'smaler', more closer jazz shows/concerts (www.kinggeorg.de)
- "FI" or maybe you didn't like any of the above and you're more of a rave person, in which case you might prefer to queue up here in a long line to dance the night away: @https://ursprung-fi.de/
- "KUEN'' in Nippes, north part of the town where I live for great music and nice drinks. (http://www.kuenkneipe.de)
- ''Museum Ludwig", just next to the cathedral and the biggest museum of Cologne with mostly one proper touring exhibition.
- "Flora", our botanical garden with a with a lovely coffee-terrace, just next to the zoo, is for free and just 15 minutes walking distance from my flat .
- 'Lent Park' also just 10 minutes walking distance, the local swimming pool and ice skating hall (5,50€ in the summertime)
- the cathedral 'Kölner Dom' of course is a must see, probably the most impressive gothic thing in Germany
(and I was trained there as a stonemason. Really true! but that was a long time ago ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
because I love hosting peole from around the world and to show them my town and my country
as I also love to explore the world and to meet the people out there and because I am mostly travelling on small budget - I always really liked it, when there has been the option of a free bed or couch @friendly peoples houses.
The room I am offering is a lockable room with a big bed, a couch and a table with chair (watch the pictures) .
Sounds all right? Ask for a stay!
