About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing!

ABOUT ME

I am currently studying in Montpellier, southern France, and I want to travel and see new places! I love to go out at night, have long chatty meals, I play music and love arts and culture in general.
I try to be as easy-going and open-minded as I can be.

I love law and politics, and as corny as it sounds, I want to try and make a difference trough my job. I will be finishing my degree next year and will be a laywer in 2. After that, I might go and study political science, and become a university professor.

I love learning new languages, it is one of my passions. I am slowly picking up a bit of italian, and aim to start learning arabic (whenever I get enough free time).

I love to play music, by myself or with people singing along. It's a great way to fire up a party or an evening with friends.

Even though I have travelled quite a lot, I have always stayed within western countries, in Europe and North America. I have been in South America, but never in Asia or Africa. I is my firm intent to do so in the coming years, to open up to completely different cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to know the world, to make it a better place. Striving to accomplish great things but staying grounded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been able to receive people, since I have been travelling and moving in and out of my parents house for the last few years. However, it is one of my projects for the near future, when I get back to Canada, to start hosting. Give back a little, after all the good times CS has brought me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted a couple of times in France, and loved it so much. So many of my friends are on couchsurfing and I met couchsurfers at their place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything by Tarantino and Mike Rodriguez, I love that cartoony, over the top style.

Music: Blues, soul and country: I love american music, from John Lee Hooker to Johnny Cash to Otis Redding.
My soft side is pretty obvious when it comes to music, I love Coldplay, U2, Rufus Wainwright, among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing authentic local cuisine in southern Italy with my italian girlfriend.

Hiking the Andes.

Staying in Indian territory in northern Canada.

Living in France and living the European melting-pot, meeting people from all over.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to play music. (Guitar/Bass, singing, percussion, harmonica, music theory and harmony, etc.)
I can speak and write 2 languages perfectly, and have a good level of spanish.

As far as learning goes, any additionnal linguistic or musical knowledge would be interesting. Surfing I'd like to be taught.

I can explain the basics of Law and Politics, and tell you all about Canadian, French, and American culture and politics.

That's about all I can think of.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Croatia, Cuba, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
