ABOUT ME

Theatre director and devoted language learner who's looking into going travelling for a bit. I speak French, can chat in Modern Greek and have a basic, rusty knowledge of Italian and German. At the moment, I'm learning Japanese for our trip this summer.

I'd love to meet new people and introduce visitors to this historic place I live.

Interests

Love meeting new people. I'm interested generally in languages and different cultures. I love theatre, literature, philosophy and the arts generally. Also like just having a drink and a laugh with friendly, interesting people.

Favourite writers include Shakespeare, Beckett, Howard Barker, Robert Holman and Florian Zeller.

My taste in music and film zigzags between the sublime and the trashy.

I love Pink Martini, Miss Li, Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald, Stromae and Nouvelle Vague; Shostakovitch, Rachmaninov, Debussy and Saint-Saens.

Films I've enjoyed include: The Lives of Others, Little Miss Sunshine, Something's Gotta Give, The Great Beauty, Sommersturm, Downfall, All About My Mother and The Reader. TV: Deutschland 83, Borgen, The Bridge, Game of Thrones.
