ABOUT ME

I live in Toronto, and try to take off as often as I can. I just graduated from a textile design program and I spend my time making crafts, volunteering for a makerspace, and talking incessantly about art, technology, religion, culture, politics and whatever else strikes my fancy.

I am ridiculously enthusiastic person, and can hold my own in most social situations. Feel free to tell me to shut up, I talk a lot sometimes.

PHILOSOPHY

Being enthusiastic and earnest will always beat being ironic and apathetic. there is a good chance we can change the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been so inspired by all the people who have let me stay with them, and I hope to one day start hosting people.

Drop me a line if you need a place to stay, I am not fully set up yet, but I may be able to figure something out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with friends of friends and vague aquaintances while travelling through the states years ago. When the time came to go on a spontaneous bus trip across Canada, my friend suggested cs and I was hooked! I surfed in Europe where I stayed with so many kind and wonderful people. I have had a chance to see a side of the world that would have been cut off to me if I did this any other way.

Interests

I can find myself fascinated by any topic; I spend hours falling into wikipedia holes reading about all sorts of things.

More specifically however, I am interested in independent culture, making things, art and the internet. I really, really love the internet. All of my ideas and passions tend to be pretty lefty. Right now I am really into the situationalists who believe the consumer spectacle crushes human creativity. So I spend my time at flea markets, parks, public libraries, and living rooms.
