ABOUT ME

Travel was my only clear dream when I was a kid and has continued to be a passion. I just wish couch surfing had existed back then. I've been reading through profiles & thinking I want to meet all of you. But this is suppose to be about me. I love growing as a person & life has provided many opportunities to do this through challenging events and exciting ones. The tough times taught me to see the humour in even the darkest moments. My working life has taken many forms; teaching in classrooms at every level of education from kinder to tertiary; teaching singing to adults & working with people who were dying to name a few. However, there has always been the one common theme of inspiring others to be their best selves.

PHILOSOPHY

MY personal philosophy is that we are all unique and more amazing than we realize. We all have an important contribution to make to the world and no-one else can make our special contribution whether its making the best food or flying space ships.

Interests

I play the modern lyre which is a stringed instrument & generally have an interest in music. (Not altogether surprising when I teach singing.) Enjoy exploring books about the purpose & meaning of life and the cosmos.
Love my dog Buddy and walking by the river or sea with him.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a passion & ability to teach non-singers to find their voice and sing.
I would love to know about successful models of education that are inspiring students to learn rather than using testing as a whip.
