Overview
About Me
Patience is a converted school bus. She is a vehicle for adventure, exploration, and witnessing. She is also a vehicle for focused direct action, taken in the spirits of anti-oppression, empowerment, and liberation.
If you are aboard Patience, you will be challenged: What does such a vehicle look like to you, what can such a vehicle do, and what can we do with such a vehicle? With Patience as a vaulting pole, how can we support each other in actualizing these visions?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Especially when we encounter the urban environment, we need places to land. As we are a part of this land, we need to engage with it to survive and thrive. We need a place to stop so the pilot(s) can rest. We need access to healthy food and clean water. We greatly appreciate access to a place to take care of our bodies - go to the bathroom, wash our faces, hands, and so on. We also greatly appreciate access to a place to take care of our infrastructure - wash our dishes, clothes, use the internet, and so on.
We also seek passionate people who are committed to participating in this project. Are you on the front lines with us, riding the bus? Are you holding it down somewhere so that we can park in a place and build a fire outside and roast some vegetables with you?
We understand that other people have similar basic needs. If it seems that we might be crossing paths and you need a place to sleep or want to share a meal, or just hang out, please reach out to us! Perhaps we can help each other out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The bus can be a pressure cooker for relationships. We can't run away from conflict and so we must engage with it and transform it into something that is healthy for all of us. We've resolved/transformed some conflicts.
Teach, Learn, Share
We love to teach as much as we love to learn. If it seems like we might be able to teach you something or show you something or share something with you, you need only ask.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some of us are good storytellers, and we have lots of stories.
We enjoy cooking large meals for lots of people. We can fix bikes, build stuff, plant stuff, make music, and lots of other things.
We like work trades. If you're patient enough to teach us how to do something, we are generally patient enough to learn and then do it. Do you need 5 or so people to show up and help you raise a yurt or install a garden? That could be us.
