Overview
About Me
I grew up in KL Malaysia. Studied for A-levels (but they called it H level) at St Margaret's school in Edinburgh (Scotland). Worked part time at a radio station and studied in a university called QUT in Brisbane, Australia. Finally back to Kuala Lumpur after I graduated and worked in a local newspaper called The Star. Fast forward 20-odd years, I'm now a mother of three children (ages 7,11,15). I homeschool my youngest and volunteer at various schools; building edible gardens for the young ones. I really enjoy teaching kids about various types of soil, showing them earthworms and how easy it is to turn our kitchen wastes into compost. Homeschooling my kid also means I have to learn many new things and I love meeting and connecting with homeschooling families around the world. We have a family retreat in the forest about 45-minutes drive from the city centre and I love spending time there with my kids and their friends amongst the nature. We can see hornbills and gibbons right outside!
