About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering America (South and North)!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Barcelona where I lived until I was 10, then my family moved to the city of Rubi where I grew up. While I was at uni, I was able to study for a year in the city of Bergen (one of the best years of my life so far). It's amazing how much fun I had meeting people from all over the world. That whole experience of living abroad gave me a taste of how much I could learn and I enjoy from everyone I met.

After finishing uni, I moved to Dublin for few months to improve my English before moved with my boyfriend to Weybridge (UK). At the start, I volunteered in a charity shop where I worked with lots of lovely Grannies who kept correcting my English, and who I can now thank for my addiction to tea with milk. After that, somehow, I ended up working in finance for nearly two years. Even though I learnt a lot of things, and I enjoyed my time in the UK, I still had itchy feet, and knew I needed to see more of the world. So together, with my boyfriend, we decided to leave behind our lives in the UK and make real our dream to travel the world.

PHILOSOPHY

In Spanish it is said "QUE ME QUITEN LO BAILAO", which means that once you have done something no one can take that experience from you.

"It is always best to do something and feel sorry to have done it, than feel sorry for not trying". (Boccaccio) - So why not try as much as possible!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First CS experience I ever had, I didn't even know that it was CS. When I was living in Norway, in our student flat we often had people stay for a couple of nights just because a friend, of a friend, of a friend needed a place to stay. It turned out to be great! Long nights of chatting served with some home-made untasty beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books and movies where the main character has to overcome challenges to become who they really want to be.

About music, I like variation. I like it all, from ABBA to U2 :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met a lady, Jackie, in Brazil who completely changed my point of view about everything. She started travelling abroad, only after she became legally blind! Guide dog in toe,she had great stories of the places she had been. This really made me reflect on my "fear" of travelling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking (and eating of course)! I especially enjoy cooking for others and learning how to cook foods from where I am travelling. I exchange cooking lessons!! :)

I enjoy listening to travel stories from others, and what they have learnt from those adventures. I am a curious individual!

Countries I’ve Visited
