ABOUT ME

I am a researcher. I study the relationship between people and nature. I've lived in different parts of Brazil (South, Southeast and North) and also some time in South Africa and the USA. I am currently living in São Paulo. I enjoy doing fieldwork, travelling, trekking, meeting different people and trying different food. I live close to the mountains and the beach in Brazil, so there is where I like to go when I'm not working.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first go to know about CS through a teacher I had at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA) almost 20 years ago. But signed up only when I decided to backpack in Latin America in 2009, with my sister.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had great experience with couchsurfing while backpacking. Surfed in Peru and Panama and met people in Colombia.

Interests

Travel to get to know people, cultures, and different landscapes. Walking, hiking, trekking, climbing, food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love brazilian music, it is very diverse! Specially samba. But also enjoy many other types (e.g. rock). Latin american writers and european and asian movies.
