I live in the small Sierra Foothills community of El Dorado Hills (between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe) with my fiance, Anthony. We have two kids (who live with us half the time) and two golden retrievers.

I am a writer and web designer, and Anthony is an engineer.

We're both kind, open-minded, and positive, and we're eager to meet new people from all walks of life and corners of the globe (near or far).

*One little extra note is that we are a mixed-age couple (I'm in my 30's and he's in his 20's). To us, it's a negligible fact, but I do like to mention it in advance to eliminate the surprise factor. ;)

We want to meet the world!

We are INCREDIBLY EXCITED to meet other positive, open-minded people who share our zest for life and desire to grow and connect with the world. We’d love to hear about your experiences and maybe (hopefully!) even share some adventures together.

If you’d like, I can cook some healthy meals for all of us, and we can visit and exchange stories. Just name your favorite drink or food and we’ll bring it along (or have it at our home if you are traveling to us).

We are fairly flexible on the dates, as we have two weekends/month where we can host or travel. We do have two goldens but can arrange puppysitting for them if you’d rather not have their fluffiness in your home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE: We've had an amazing time hosting travelers on two different occasions so far. We've also attended a local couchsurfers' event where we met some awesome people. We look forward to hosting more and hopefully branching out into our own travels soon! :)

Anthony climbed Montanha do Pico, a mountain/volcano on the island of Pico of the Azores (Portugal). I hope to join him in such a feat one day!

As hosts, we'd enjoy showing you around the area - the trails, lakes, rivers, etc. - to hopefully offer an authentic taste of what it's like to live in the foothills and Sacramento area. As hosts and as guests, we would truly appreciate learning about your own experiences from your home as well as your travels.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

While I'm no chef, I do love creating healthy, tasty meals out of fresh produce (and also meats/fish, if you eat it). Anthony's pretty handy with a computer and electronics, if there's anything you might need help with.
