About Me

Hi there fellow globe-trotters and friends, I'm Patricia a curious explorer and professional optimist born and raised in Bavaria (miraculously without an indigenous affection to beer and sauerkraut though). I love music, arts, coffee and cinnamon and I love telling stories just as much as making new ones.

Starting this August, I'll be in Lund, Sweden having cinnamon buns every day, meeting loads of new friends and becoming a Master in Branding and anything else that sparks my interest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've started surfing couches in 2013 and from my first trip onward I've been more than grateful someone's built this community and made every single adventure even more memorable and exciting.

Till today, there's been loads of surfing, hosting and meeting on the plate across France, the States, Canada, Cuba, Mexico, Sweden, Copenhagen, Northern Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Thailand, Vietnam and obviously Germany. But I've heard there are 195 countries in the world, so we're only at the starting point I guess.

Interests

Exploring new places and re-discovering old ones, trying exciting new things like reading books as an actual spare time activity (most recent addition to my list of enjoyable things), being outdoors hiking, trekking, camping and surviving, running as long and far as I can both on the ground and across roof tops, inventing new dance moves while listening to music, getting lost in the moment or some art galleries, taking photos of simply anything and one of my all-time-favorites; making others laugh cause it's one of the best sounds in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's such great music out there, but my favourites are techno and anything electronic and experimental really, hiphop, rap and grime, piano and live music if it's singer/songwriters, jazz or reggae

I really love movies from good old classics to modern cinema (and isn't the smell of fresh popcorn just pure happiness). when harry met sally. cruel intentions. law abiding citizen. inception. call me by your name. tschick (German one) ..to name a few special ones

To be honest I have never been a bookworm when I was little but I recently discovered such awesome reads and poetry (thanks to Veronica and the sweetest book delivery for real) and I literally cannot stop. Currently on the bookshelf (or in my backpack): 1984. The White Book. To Kill a Mockingbird. The Rosie Project. The Why Cafe. This is Water. The subtle art of not giving a fuck.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oo definitely booking this flight to New York all alone without any plans or thought-through schedules on my mind. It felt like I'm truly becoming part of the city, immersing in the everyday life and just following my mood every single day.

But, gotta admit, breaking my phone in the Cambodian rain and travelling offline for a few weeks was quite fun as well.
