Hi! I'm an English teacher from Philadelphia. I haven't traveled much, but I want to change that!

I think Mark Twain said it best: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a lovely retired couple in Japan for 4 nights in June 2014. It was a great experience.

Interests

I'm very interested in sports (playing, not watching) and fitness. I run a lot, and just completed my first half-marathon last year! I love skiing, snowboarding, yoga and playing (American) football with my friends. I'm a lifelong learner and take my career as a teacher very seriously. I'm also interested in languages, different cultures, and painting. I speak decent German and enough Korean and Chinese to get me in trouble, but not enough to get me out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll use this section to describe my travels. I grew up in the USA but taught English in S. Korea for 2.5 years and in China for 6 months. I've also been on short trips to the Philippines, Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan.
