I recently finished my PhD in physics at Carnegie Mellon University. My interests, I've found, no longer lie in my field - at least, not in a research position. Rather, I'd like to become more proficient in programming and working with graphics. Then, I'd like to either design educational programs for helping people understand basic to advanced physics topics, or go into video game development somewhere that I think does really good work (Valve, or Naughty Dog, for example).

I don't expect this to be a frequent issue here on CS, but for the sake of full disclosure, I'm queer. If that bothers you, move on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Towards the end of October, I will be traveling around Europe for a month. I've never left the States, and am looking forward to exploring the places I stay with people that actually live there!

My schedule:
Reykjavik: October 30th to November 5th
London: November 5th to November 11th
Amsterdam: November 11th to November 14th
Utrecht: November 14th to November 17th
Berlin: November 17th to November 24th
Paris: November 24th to December 2nd
