About Me
**FULLY VACCINATED W/ PFIZER VACCINE SINCE APRIL**
Hello! Hola! Ciao! My name is Patrick, and I am a software engineer by trade. Fairly new to international travel and trying to accelerate my international travel by going on a 3 week trek through Europe (UK, France, Italy, Spain, possibly Germany) in October.
I'm a little shy at first but do well at one-on-one conversations. Get a few drinks in me and I'll chat your ear off, though haha!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I thought to myself that I could stay in hotels while traveling, but I'm afraid the experience would be sanitized. Traditional hotels would also limit my ability to get to know people in the culture I am experiencing.
I'd also like to make new friends while visiting. A friend recommended this site to me so thought I would give it a try!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have eclectic music tastes. 80s, 90s, electronic, dance, hip-hop., etc..
For movies, I like horror, suspense, sci-fi, mystery, comedy, documentaries, and coming-of-age films.
For fiction books, I like dystopian thrillers (1984, The Giver), but I mostly read non-fiction (documentation, history, science, etc.)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a fantastic cook! I love making Italian food, cajun/creole cuisine, American southern cuisine, desserts, etc.. I can make you a great meal! Ask about my red beans and rice, jambalaya, gumbo, shrimp and grits, biscuits, fried chicken, mac n cheese, etc. if you're interested in Southern American food. Can also make a fantastic cheesecake, peanut butter pie, peach cobbler for dessert.
