Gday,
I'm Patrick. I've grown up my whole life in Melbourne, Australia. I have a passion for film-making and I'm majoring in Film studies and creative writing at University. I absolutely love house, techno & disco music and have recently been really into DJing.
Another passion of mine is photography. I love to take my grandfather's old film camera with me wherever I go to pick up random snaps of everyday life and friends.
I love going out with friends and getting to know knew people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm about to travel around the USA for 6 weeks and I'm trying to keep things cost effective. I think it would be a great way to see a city, staying at someone's house and getting their perspective on home. I'm travelling with a close friend whom I have known since I was 10. He is currently on exchange studying in North Carolina.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite films are Pulp Fiction, Memento, Magnolia & The Neon Demon.
I got into DJing, starting to play around with a lot of disco records. I still love disco but my taste has evolved and recently I have really been into techno. Artists such as Recondite, Ben Klock, Maceo Plex, Petar Dundov, Guy J & Kolsch are among some of my favourites. I also really love progressive house and 90s trance at the moment. DJ sasha & John Digweed are absolute legends in this game.
I believe Jamie xx is one of the most talented DJ's and producers.
Outside of dance music I can't get enough of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jack Johnson, The Doors.
My 2 favourite books are Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer & Call of the Wild by Jack London. (Into the Wild is also a fantastic film!)
