CURRENT MISSION

To live and learn in Taiwan. I'll be teaching English for a year in Taichung (Nov 2014-Dec 2015). Interested in meeting friends, locals, and travelers in the heart of Asia!

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from the University of California - San Diego. I studied (and continue to study) history, politics, and international relations. I enjoy traveling (who doesn't!?), Ultimate Frisbee, and badminton.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be a resource for travelers in Taichung and meet some cool new folks! I've traveled all over Europe and Asia and found that the best times are usually with strangers. Lucky for me, strangers across the world have been very friendly and generous with their couches. I hope to return the favor!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of everything. I love especially the Lord of the Rings, and Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking through Yosemite National park. I guess this isn't a "moment" since I make the 1 week trip each summer with 3 of my best friends, but it is always and amazing and memorable experience.

Seeing the Tour de France in Paris. I'm a not a huge bike fan, but it was a really cool experience of culture and competition all the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A couch, clean water, and some knowledge of Taichung! I am always looking to practice my Chinese, French, or Italian so perhaps we can language swap.
