About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a...dude. Who gets writer's block when trying to describe himself. I spent a good chunk of my 20's travelling and living abroad. I just finished a three-year stint working in Toronto as a bike courier, which was a really fun experience. I'm planning on going travelling again soon, possibly teaching in Burma or travelling the silk route and seeing all the 'Stan countries. Long-term I am going to go back to school to study to be a psychotherapist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting people from other countries. I can't host at the moment but would be happy to show people around the city. My favourite thing to do in Toronto right now is go to the Art Gallery of Ontario on Wednesday nights when it's free admission, and then go for a drink. Also would like to meet French speakers who are interested in language exchange. I spoke fluent French when I was a child and I'm trying to recover my proficiency.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first used this site while I was hitchhiking through Europe a few years ago. I had been too shy before to try CS but being broke changed that! I stayed with a graphic designer dude in Munich who introduced me to the amazingness of Currywurst, which I think tops even my beloved poutine. And I drank a bottle of wine in Berlin with a philosophy student and had a really good conversation for hours. I wish I had tried it earlier - it's so much more interesting to experience a place with a local person to show you around.
