Overview
About Me
Hello all, the name is Patrick, and I hail from the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. I'm an Asian-American, half Chinese, half Filipino, though, I was never taught Cantonese, Mandarin, or Tagalog. Right now, I'm a student that's just trying to make it through university and travel at the same time. I like to think I'm a fairly nice person who is respectful of others. I'm a little shy, but I always try to get out of my comfort zone and be more easy going. That said, once I'm in my comfort zone I can become quite outgoing and stupid at the same time. I have a pretty curious mind and I love seeing things from different perspectives. Experiencing what others have to offer is what makes traveling so glorious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel, meet new people, and create some good memories. Plus, I don't have teh moneys.
Interests
I love things that get my heart pumping! Snowboarding would be at the top of the list. I'll also do things like rock climbing, bungy jumping (I've only jumped once though), and maybe surfing. I also love to travel and sightsee! There's nothing like seeing cultures and places that are different than you're own. It really creates a sense of awe and wonder when you explore. I also enjoy going to concerts and music festivals if I can afford it.
On my downtime, I like to play video games, work out and sometimes binge watch shows on Netflix or Hulu.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Music: I can get down to anything really, but my personal favorites right now are hip hop and electronic
Favorite Movies: Dazed and Confused, Spirited Away
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've reached the summit of Mount Ngauruhoe otherwise known as Mount Doom. I felt like Frodo Baggins climbing that thing, although, the top wasn't quite what I imagined (I expected lava flowing and molten rock). Still gorgeous, though. If you are in New Zealand I highly recommend trekking the Tongariro crossing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach and share whatever I have to offer. Ask me anything. I want to learn as much as I can, or as much as my memory will allow me to (I have a very limited memory, unfortunately).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendly conversation and some awesome company. I can also cook a dinner, although, I usually don't know what to make. I can guarantee that I will be edible and sometimes taste delicious
