About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and become the ultimate travel hacker, learning new skills, immersing myself into local cultures along the way and finding a way to live and work on the road.

ABOUT ME

I'm 29 years old and in 2014 I quit my job, sold my house and bought a one-way ticket to go and see thw world.

It's been a dream of mine to finally put this into action and the time has finally come!

My goal is to experience as many adventures as possible, immerse myself into the local cultures and their people, and step far outside my comfort zone without spending a ton of money doing it. I want to throw myself head on into the culture-shock and confusion that inevitably follows arrival into any foreign country. And most importantly, I want to continually learn as much as possible about this world we live in. Cold beer never hurts either!

PHILOSOPHY

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain

For a long time in my I thought that the 9-5, steady pay, good investments followed by settling down was the dream to be had. After my own personal introspection and by delving into the experiences of other travelers and authors alike, I'm ready to see what is out there and make sure I take full advantage of my time here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had a chance to host since I have sold my condo but I hope to one day return the favor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any couchsurfing experiences as of yet, but I have only heard good things.

Interests

Throwing on a great song and taking a run around a brand new city. I love the people watching it affords and the introspection that walking around a new city allows.

Good coffee and craft beer is a huge plus.

I love my home sports teams (Packers & Brewers) and definitely like to keep tabs wherever I am in the world.

Sharing unexpected new experiences with new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mark Twain, Jack Kerouac and Bill Bryson are my favorite travel writers.

I'm a big fan of Tim Ferris, Chris Guillebeau, Rolf Potts and Matt Kepnes for their thoughts on budget travel, traveling in general and becoming a digital nomad.

I will listen to anything music-wise. I'll usually find something I'll listen to death for about a couple weeks and then find something else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived abroad when I was younger and that was pretty amazing but I the best is yet to come.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Australia, Canada, Chile, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mexico, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Argentina
