About Me

I'm an outgoing, funny and open-minded person who thrives on meeting new people and hearing their stories. I love the energy of music festivals, concerts and parties—especially the ones with fast, high-energy music. Nothing resets my mind quite like getting lost in the chaos of a good mosh pit. 🤘 At the same time, I also enjoy deep, thought-provoking conversations over a beer. 🍺 Traveling and hiking are another way I recharge, and I’m always up for new experiences that push me out of my comfort zone.

By profession, I’m an IT guy—but for me, it’s more of a job than a passion (though I won’t say no to an interesting tech discussion). What truly fascinates me is human behavior—the 'why' behind the way people think, act, and make decisions. 🧠 I believe that understanding these underlying motivations naturally makes us more open-minded and accepting of each other. ☮️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about finding a place to sleep—it’s more about stepping into someone else’s world, even if just for a short time. I love meeting locals, experiencing a country in a more authentic way, and seeing the world from different perspectives. Plus, it provides a sense of security if you would ever feel completely lost in a new place.

I also enjoy sharing my own culture, whether that means introducing travelers to Hungarian food, our unique language, or—if they drink alcohol—making sure they don’t leave without trying pálinka or Unicum (and maybe regretting it the next morning 😅). More than anything, I love the connections and experiences that make every trip unforgettable.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty diverse, but I mostly listen to drum and bass, metal, alternative, ska and reggae music. My all-time favorite band is Enter Shikari.

When it comes to movies and TV shows, I'm open to anything, but I especially enjoy horror and thriller films or series. Also, I’ve been rewatching the Harry Potter movies almost every year since I was a kid.

As for books, I’m mostly into psychology and self-development reads. Right now, I’m also making my way through the Harry Potter series in English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a few months working in Ireland while switching universities.
I spent a semester in the beautiful city of San Sebastián on an Erasmus program.
As a teenager, I practiced judo and twice placed 5th in the national championship, also competed abroad.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a traveler: I try to be more than just a guest—I enjoy good conversations, sharing experiences, and helping out whenever I can. I’d like to think I’m good company, as I get along easily with everyone. I love philosophizing about anything and everything and can dive into any topic (even the “biggest questions of life” at 3 AM 😅).
If possible, I like to bring a small gift or snack from my home country and share the stories behind them.
I can also help with cooking (I’m not the fastest chef, but I have fun doing it), helping with IT-related stuff, or just offering an extra pair of hands when needed—whether it’s setting up a new TV (yes, that actually happened during Couchsurfing. 😁).

As a host: When I’m not working, I’m happy to show you around the city, recommend places to visit (even outside of Budapest), relax at a bath, grab a beer, or go out partying.
