I'm a 6th year medical student that loves travelling and meeting new people. I enjoy photography, books, good music and tasty food. I love spending time in a multicultural environment and learning about life in other countries and their traditions.

Originally from Poland, at 18 I decided to follow my heart and moved to Bulgaria, and this was the best decision of my life. I fell in love with this country, with its people and culture. I am impressed by the way Bulgarians live and the sense of freedom they have. I love Bulgarian cuisine and folklore, and I have even been going to traditional Bulgarian dance classes for some time.

Helping others is my passion, therefore except for my studies, I also work as a first aid instructor and volunteer in the ICU at a local hospital in Sofia. I also used to be an assistant for the Local Exchange Committee at the Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria, which gave me an opportunity to meet amazing exchange students from all around the world and help them with whatever they needed.

In my free time, I like to go on walks in my city, especially during late evenings, I really like Sofia at night. I also love nature and mountains, so whenever I have time during the weekends, I always take the opportunity to go on a hike in the Vitosha mountain which is really close to Sofia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet interesting people, gain friends from all around the world and make some unforgettable memories. In November 2024 I went for my first solo trip in Greece and this has changed my point of view on travelling. I spent amazing time with locals in places I would have never thought of if travelling with an organized trip. I really enjoyed listening to their stories and learning about everyday life in their country. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do", and I think Couchsurfing will really provide me with this opportunity ☺️

I do not have any specific favourite music type, I listen to everything, as long as I like it ☺️

For the books, I enjoy reading fantasy, the kind of books that really open your imagination. But recently I have also been on a wave of psychology books and literature of fact.

Travelled around Iceland for 10 days with a campervan - the best experience in my life!

I can teach you some first aid techniques and traditional Bulgarian folklore dances if you are into this kind of stuff ☺️ I can also share travel advice about some of the countries I have been to.

I am open to learning new things! "Seek discomfort" is my new life motto (Yes Theory fans will understand ☺️)
