About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit every country in the world...though they keep making it harder by adding more...but I'm also looking to get Pluto reinstated as a planet
ABOUT ME
I'm a little bit goofy and have an odd sense of humor. I really like my job but I live for the weekend and my time off. Sometimes I can't shut up when I'm drunk, but then again sometimes I can't shut up when I'm sober. I'm sort of a jackass when I want to be, but take things seriously when I have to. I'm always up for a challenge and I love doing things other people won't. I hate being wrong, but I love learning about new things. Long story short, I suppose it's impossible to make any sense out of me.
I've never been in one place very long. I was born and raised in Boston and went to college in Washington, DC. I lived in New York, London, Sydney, Phoenix and now I'm in Seattle and bounce all over the globe. Work has sent me to Budapest, Amsterdam, Minneapolis, Montreal, Sydney, Vegas, Bangkok, and the Philippines. I've learned how to drive on both sides of the road and now find myself not that great at doing either.
PHILOSOPHY
To live and learn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm interested in all aspects of surfing...both hosting and being hosted. Hosting is an awesome way to meet new people and share the city that I happen to being living in at the time. Being hosted is a far better way to learn about a new place than a sterile hotel room.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
More nights than I can count in college were spent on people's couches. I've never turned away a friend who needed a good couch. I've also started hosting in Seattle and hope to keep it going.
Interests
Traveling, sleeping, good times with good friends, dodgy bars, stupid and pointless arguments, sports, cooking (and being cooked for), road trips, and ridiculous plans.
Note that ridiculous plans almost always involve some combination of the other interests listed.
- full moon party
- cooking
- beer
- partying
- traveling
- surfing
- sports
- road trips
Music, Movies, and Books
Too numerous and varied to even begin to list on a website.
However, I will note that the following DVDs are moving with me to Australia (the other 100 or so are going into storage) so this should tell you something about me: Beerfest, Green Street Hooligans, Boondock Saints, Taken and Borat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Full Moon Party in Thailand was pretty nuts. We ended up having to take a friend to hospital for an asthma attack, but the emergency number went unanswered and the first two hospitals were closed because it was too early.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm...I could teach you how to down a beer less time than ever before. Alternatively, thanks to work, I know more about airlines than one probably wants to know. I have also been told I'm mildly entertaining and maybe some of that will rub off on you.
Countries I’ve Visited
Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
