California-native backpacking her way through India and Asia this year. People are usually shocked when I tell them I spent four months in India as a solo female backpacker -- so that usually makes for good conversation. I really enjoy and prefer to travel solo, but most of the most memorable and dear moments I have are with the amazing people I've met along the way. I'm filled with awe and gratitude every time I experience the amount of kindness and generosity our world has to offer.

I love going off the beaten path (preferably in nature), being in water, and trying ALL the food. I'm definitely "one of those" who lives to eat and have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that some people just don't enjoy eating...but to each their own ;) You can usually find me laughing or making a fool of myself...I feel life is bland without a bit of insanity and lots of laughter :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Down-tempo, jazz, non-EDM electronic, experimental, rock, deep house, alternative, indie, oldies...the list goes on. I find it hard to categorize the music I enjoy into a genre. Some of my favorites include Radiohead, Rhye, Tom Misch, Massive Attack, Portishead, Khruangbin. My life, quite frankly, revolves around music- I live for festivals and live shows :) I really enjoy thought-provoking movies: Her, Interstellar, Your Name, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Arrival, Casablanca, Star Wars, so many more... No scary/horror for me though, not my cup of tea. My favorite author is Haruki Murakami and I read a ton of non fiction as well, on topics surrounding health, wellness, spirituality, the like. I'm a huge Harry Potter geek and love children's books.

Camped on top of an active volcano (Kelud, Indonesia)! That was exhilarating.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my reiki/yoga practice and everything I know about nutrition (I studied it in university). I've been told my massages are amazeballs and I make a mean quinoa salad/guacamole. I love to learn more about the history and culture of wherever I am, and of course the people I meet :)
