About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live quietly with nature and friends
ABOUT ME
10 years ago i came to india on a spiritual search. though india is a difficult place and nothing seems to be as it should, there is an energy here from which i have not yet been able to part. i live in the himalayas more or less where india, nepal and tibet come together. there is NOTHING to do here except to contemplate the grandeur of nature, see the breath-taking snowy mountains (when they choose to come out from behind the clouds)and walk in the forest. my little house is too small to host couch surfers but i can help you to reserve a good and cheap room in one of the many guest houses as well as host you to a meal in my home.
PHILOSOPHY
Being is more important than Doing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
generally i couchsurf when i travel because i like to see new places and make new friends. so far the only brave souls to travel to where i live did so at a time that i was in the hospital so i missed them. i am sorry for that but maybe some others will come one day. it takes courage to travel to remote regions of india.....
Interests
i am a minimally to moderately sociable person. i spend alot of time alone in the mountains but during the tourist season, i have many friends around and it feels good to laugh aloud with them. i like to meditate, listen to classical music, read, watch good dvd's, walk in the forest (they call it jungle here). in the temperate season i like to care for my garden and try to make foreign seeds grow which they usually don't. i don't smoke and i hate anything loud.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
when i lived in south india, i had a close encounter with a cobra. very close. about a meter apart. and here in north india i had a close encounter with a big wolf with yellow eyes. not so close an encounter; about 2 meters apart. both times i felt very very honored.
