ABOUT ME

We are a couple who are 34 and 36 year old and we both love travelling. We are basque and when we say we are basque that´s exactly what we mean, not spanish nor french, not worse nor better but different.

We are now flying to California for a month and we would like to experience the authentic local feeling and check how true are the thousand of series, films and topics they´ve shown us for years. We are really curious about that...

This second part is more about hosting, and the basque thing we previously mentioned, so if you planning to stay with us please check it!

We wouldn't like to be rude but it's easier for everybody if you understand what we feel despite of been answering messages explaining all the staff.
So please don´t contact us if you are willing to get the real spanish flavour or get involved into spanish culture and so on.
Anyway don´t get confused, we have nothing against spanish people and we have a lot of spanish friends and we really apreciate them, and of course it´s no problem if you want to stop in the Basque Country on your way to/back from Spain or if you ask us about anything related to it.

Appart from that we must say that since we first met active couchsurfers we decided that we should try both hosting and surfing experiences because we feel that travelling it´s just a source of knowledge and a way to understand the world through it´s citizens, who are in fact the most fantastic and interesting thing you´ll find wherever you go.

So we are willing to go and ready to host and help you on whatever you need, although we´ll be quite busy during the week.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Due to some changes in our lives and our way of travelling we stopped couchsurfing for last two years but we are back again.
We participate both hosting and travelling and we hope we can also suggest things to show you our area, country and events going on around us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted several people and we´ve been hosted by some fantastic people too. It,s allways been a great experience.

Travelling, "playing" and listening to music, txalaparta (basque ancient instrument), hiking, eating and drinking (yeah we love it), partying, talking(blablablablabla), bertsolaritza (basque improvised poetry), discussing, dancing, reading, walking, street theatre and comedians,lay down and enjoy the summer nights...
