ABOUT ME

I'm a freelance journalist specialized in sustainable design, green lifestyle and culture. I write for different outlets and projects. One of my latest is a fanzine series about the seasons and how we relate to weather/climate. I'm also a ballet and contemporary dance apprentice.

Things I enjoy: biking, cultural and music events, farms, animals, amazing vegetarian food, trying to make sense of life in conversations with strangers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never hosted people but have had coffee and drinks with many surfers and have had the best time.

Interests

Sustainable design, green lifestyle, bicycles and biking, recycling, vegetarianism and vegan life, art, travel, nature, animals, books, writing. I've taken Contemporary Dance lessons for three years and Ballet for 1,5 years and have developed a deep love for these art forms.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Office Space, Sabado, High Fidelity, Before Sunset, I Heart Huckabees, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Being John Malcovich, Reality Bites, Toy Story, Up in the Air.

Music: I like folk rhythmic music like Iron & wine, Calexico, Talking Heads/David Byrne, and also really like hip hop, and have fun with commercial pop music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed to Easter Island with 13 strangers on a boat studying plastic pollution in the South Pacific. Spent two weeks with a broken bone in my hand after a bad movement on the boat.

Traveled from Paraguay to Venezuela by land for six months, including three days by boat to Bahía Negra in the frontier between Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia.

Took care of pumas and jaguars in Bolivia.

Spent new year's eve in Rio de Janeiro.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach both Spanish and English. Some concepts of writing and editing. I know a lot about sustainability. I'm pretty good at building websites with Wordpress.
