About Me

I'm from Australia and have spent most of the last 20 years in Germany. I have a background in IT, but I am currently travelling more than working. An ideal holiday includes wandering around town, visiting museums and going to bars when the museums close.

I've recently been to Cuba, Scotland, Switzerland, France, Spain, Canberra, Charters Towers, Sydney and Wollongong.

I'm currently driving slowly around the Southeast coast from Sydney to Melbourne and Adelaide in a campervan. I hope to meet up with other travellers, Australian and otherwise, and share stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly for meeting other travellers. Sharing tips, secret destinations and crazy stories. Playing drinking games or partying together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lounge, world music, experimental music, classical, ambient. Pop science, science fiction, classics. Arthouse, Gilliam, Cohen Bros, Trek, Python, lots in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited the Large Hadron Collider shortly before it was switched on for the first time, and stood inside the Compact Muon Solenoid in Cessy. It was the most amazing piece of machinery I have ever seen - a real monument to human ingenuity.

It's truly awesome to be in the presence of something built to microscopic precision, but on the scale of the Eiffel Tower. The workmanship is better than the finest jewelled watch, but goal is so much more noble.
