About Me

I currently am a student at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. I play soccer for them and am taking classes to become a Physical Therapist! I love outdoor activities and meeting new people. During the summer, I work down at the local surf shop renting kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and bikes. I believe family always comes first.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Need a place to stay and what better place than at the homes of the locals! I think making new friends from all over the world is so cool. I would way rather stay a few nights with locals than get a hotel, that experience is half the trip. Everyone has unique stories and I want to hear them so I can share them with my friends and family!

Interests

Love outdoor activities, traveling, and meeting new people. I have always wanted to learn to surf and finally did with the help of some great California friends. I am a food enthusiast and will never turn down fruit snacks. Hanging out with my squad in Traverse City is second to none. Frolfing (disc golf), bonfires, cruising, and hammocking are just a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My senior year of high school we went to Jamaica on a mission trip. It was amazing to see the differences in culture and lifestyle. We would go around to orphanages, senior homes, and high schools to talk with them about life, religion, and whatever else they wanted to share with us. We all met some incredible people there and hopefully touched many lives! I am planning on going back there after I graduate college and visit all of the friends I made while I was there.
