About Me

I recently finished working as a heritage officer (Aboriginal Affairs) , a role I enjoyed for 10 years. Am passionate about reconciliation with Australia's Aboriginal communities and generally; art, culture, sharing knowledge, writing, spirituality and learning from everyone about who we are and what makes us tick.

If I have time I'm happy to go for drives to show you some interesting places most visitors never see.. and some they do.

LGBTIQA+ friendly home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting, connecting, sharing, learning.

Interests

My home is sometimes described as a small art museum.. I love worldly items and art.

When visitors stay I like to show off Melbourne's hidden secrets; particularly those not so accessible by public transport. If I have time on the weekend, it is not unusual for me to take visitors for a drive to enjoy my favourite places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed with 10 Couchsurfers in the USA and Europe who stayed with me

Teach, Learn, Share

As a former cultural tour guide, Australian fauna zoo keeper, and now working as a heritage officer, I have lots of knowledge about Australian culture and natural history, but I am also very keen to learn about you and your countries of origin and cultures.

I also just like to hang out and connect. On my recent four month trip to the USA and Europe I stayed with heaps of friends who had stayed with me, but not through the couchsurfing app.. because by then, we were friends.

I look forward to welcoming many more intrepid travellers to my new home.. an abode some of my friends are already calling, a wellbeing sanctuary filled with light, colour and hidden gems.
