I live in a very old Cotswold Stone cottage with my wife in Southern England & once Spring arrives each year I get an uncontrollable urge to head off on my motorcycle to places with quiet & preferably bendy roads I can play on :-)

My body may be getting older but my mind is still yearns for the things I have always done... so I adapt :-)
I still have a passion to go diving (PADI Rescue Diver) but recoil at the idea of sitting in an airport waiting for a long haul flight to get to the colourful warm tropical waters that I always preferred......

.......so these days having more time on my hands I indulge my other favourite pastime of taking my motorcycle on nice long rides (usually abroad).

I have only recently been introduced to this site & until now I would either take my tent or use cheap hotels or a mix of the two........

This site really appeals to my way of thinking & being able to meet like minded folk on my travels will be a real bonus especially now that I tend to do many of my trips on my lonesome. I have found I actually enjoy the long rides on my own listening to my music, stopping when I feel the need & just chilling not having to think of others (if riding in a group). But at the end of the day I do enjoy the company of others, just to be able to relax & chat over a drink.... & if that person is a like minded stranger with their own experiences to share........so much the better.

I feel the older I get, the more I learn, the better my experiences/adventures become :-)

Music tastes....just about anything apart from heavy metal "well not too heavy"
Same with books......love my kindle. I read so many new authors since I bought it rather than just playing safe sticking to the ones I knew I liked when I bought paperbacks.
