Overview
About Me
I'm an open-minded person and really enjoy getting to know new people!
Currently, I'm doing an internship as a teacher in Bremen, Germany, and a formation as a rope course instructor in Hanover. I'm passionate about anything related to ropes and climbing!
Until the end of 2022, I have been working as a rope access technician in Marseille, France. For those of you who don't know what that is, I have added some pictures. It was a great experience, and really made me push my limits, because I have a rather theoretical background:
Up until 2021, I studied physics in Germany, and I still really like science. But back in that time, with the Pandemic and everything, I felt stuck and isolated, spending most of the day at my desk, in front of my computer. So once I finished, I decided to embark on a long journey through Europe. I walked a part of the Camino de Santiago and visited friends I hadn't seen for long. I spent quite some time living in eco-villages and discovered my passion for alternative, less resource-consuming and more social ways of living...
My journey wasn't about seeing different places, it was more about different ways of life... What are the resources and moments you like sharing with the people around you? When do you like being alone, and what creates a sense of belonging, a community for you? Those are the questions I was interested in, and I'm still asking myself... Do you have an answer that works for you?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I used to work in Marseille, I lived in a huge shared flat, that I wanted to make available to visitors. I got to know the most wonderful people, coming to tell heart-warming stories of their traveling experiences!
I'd really love to meet some more of you inspiring people, that are so friendly, thoughtful, and like spending a good time together.

Music, Movies, and Books
I recently discovered Kae Tempest, a rapper who produces amazing poetry.
When it comes to movies I enjoyed, there are for example Ratatouille, Spirited Away, and Enola Holmes 1 and 2.
My favorite books are, amongst others, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Animal Farm, Kafka's Process, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, and Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince. I'm a real fan of Kafka, to be honest, and so far, I haven't found any one to share that interest with.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Coloring my hair pink (it wore off though, I have to redo it...)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching:
I can teach some things about ropes, and access techniques employing them. Starting from knots, when and how to use different carabiners or abseiling devices, all the way to lead climbing, and how to safely move around trees and buildings, employing nothing but ropes and a harness.
Learning:
I can find interest in nearly anything, for instance handicrafts is something I really enjoy, be it woodworking, arc welding, sewing, masonry or drawing and painting. I'm a passionate learner, if anyone is up for teaching or learning together.
Also, I like learning from other people's way of life. That can be anything from a delicious dish, a story of something you went through, a dream that you have, or something completely different!
Sharing:
I like going out to explore cities, and nature alike. That is an activity I also like to share. There are so many interesting corners, that only the curious and spontaneous will ever find. Some places are truly magical and tell stories of a past that was frozen in time...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking, or we can cook together, and just have a nice chat.
Listening to your stories is also something I truly enjoy.
Or yeah, I'm really up for anything, and happy to hear your ideas!
