Hello, my names Paul. I live in the North SF bay area city of San Rafael. Just accross the Golden Gate Bridge and half an hour from Sonoma/Napa wine country.

I am very adventurous and love to travel the world, I have been to over 25 countries. I enjoy to absorb the culture while meeting interesting people, exploring/hiking, visiting historic sites, ect. Last and most importantly, feasting on the local food and drink.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to give travelers the best possible experience in San Francisco without the super high hotel/parking prices and stress/traffic of the city. Dont get me wrong the city is cool too, but there are so many other things to see as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lost in the streets of Toyko for hours in the middle of night, in the rain, with no smart phone (2007). Not a single person spoke English to give directions. Eventually, I somehow miraculously stumbled my way back to my hotel. Had a hot shower.
